Communities Real Estate School — Policies & Terms
Effective Date: November 7, 2025
Applies to: Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida courses delivered by Communities Real Estate School (in-person, virtual live, and online/self-paced), unless otherwise noted.
We strive to keep this page accurate; however, licensing rules are governed by each state’s commission. Where state policy differs from the general policy below, the State Addenda control. Always review your state commission’s rules before enrolling.
1) School Approval & Governance
- Regulatory Oversight: Our pre-licensing, post-licensing, and CE courses are delivered in accordance with applicable rules of the Georgia Real Estate Commission (GREC), North Carolina Real Estate Commission (NCREC), and Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), Division of Real Estate.
- Approval & Codes: Course approvals and codes are listed on the course registration pages. School and course approvals renew periodically; we update listings as renewals are granted.
- Instructor Approvals: All instructors teaching state-regulated coursework are approved per their state’s rules. Current instructor rosters are available upon request.

2) Enrollment & Non-Discrimination
- Open Enrollment: We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any protected class under applicable law.
- Eligibility: Some courses (e.g., pre-license) have state-specific prerequisites (age, education, background clearance). See State Addenda.
3) Attendance, Seat Time & Progress
- Live/In-Person & Virtual Live: Students must attend all required instructional hours as defined by the state (see State Addenda). Attendance is recorded. Missed time must be made up before the school final exam.
- Online/Self-Paced: Students must complete 100% of the required course content, assessments, and monitored seat-time where required (generally 50 minutes per credit hour unless state rules specify otherwise).
- Make-Ups: Where allowed, make-ups may include attending designated review/cram sessions or equivalent sessions compliant with state rules. See State Addenda.
4) Grading, Exams & Attempts
- Course Completion: To complete a state-approved course, students must meet all attendance/seat-time requirements, complete assigned work, and pass the school final exam.
- Passing Scores & Attempts: Minimum passing scores and number of attempts follow state rules. If permitted, a second attempt may be provided at no charge within one year of the original course start. Additional attempts or failures may require re-enrollment and repeating the course (see State Addenda for specifics such as Georgia’s 72% threshold).
- Proctoring: If a state requires a proctored school final exam, students must use an approved proctoring method (on-site or approved online proctor). Proctoring fees, if any, are the student’s responsibility. A post-exam identity affidavit may be required.
5) Certification & State Exam Scheduling
- Reporting/Certification: After you complete all requirements and pass the school final exam, the school will report your completion to the state or provide the required completion certificate within the timeline required by that state.
- State Exam: State licensing exams are administered by each state’s testing vendor. Fees, locations, and policies are set by the state/vendor and may change without notice. Always consult your state’s candidate handbook.
6) Transfers, Re-Enrollment & Expirations
- Transfers (Live/Virtual Live): If you have completed less than 50% of the scheduled hours, you may request one (1) transfer to a future session within one year of original enrollment at no charge. Prior hours generally do not carry forward unless permitted by state rule.
- Online/Self-Paced Expiration:
- Pre-Licensing: Access expires 6 months from purchase. One free 1-month extension is granted automatically. After month 7, 30-day extensions may be purchased at 20% of current retail price per extension, not to exceed 12 months from purchase. After 12 months, re-purchase at 50% of current retail is required.
- Post-Licensing & CE: Must be completed within 12 months of purchase unless the course page states otherwise.
- One-Year Testing Window: All school exam attempts must occur within one (1) year of the original course start date (or shorter if state rules specify).
7) Refunds
- Live/Virtual Live Courses: Each course varies based on State and Instructor, please review your course purchase details for refund information or contact us at info@learnwithcommunities.com
- Online/Self-Paced: No Refunds once course has been purchased and accessed.
- Event Platforms: If purchased through a third-party (e.g., Eventbrite), that platform’s fees are non-refundable and its refund deadlines apply in addition to our policy.
- Process: All refund requests must be in writing to info@LearnWithCommunities.com before the applicable deadline.
- No-Show & Partial Attendance: No refunds are issued for no-shows or once any portion of a live/virtual session is attended.
Note: Some state-specific rules (e.g., voucher/discount provider restrictions) may further limit refunds—see State Addenda.
8) Conduct, Dismissal & Anti-Recruiting
- Professional Conduct: Students must act respectfully toward peers, instructors, and staff. Weapons, illegal drugs, and alcohol are prohibited at all school-controlled premises and sessions.
- Dismissal: Policy violations, disruptive behavior, cheating, or falsification may result in dismissal without refund. Re-admittance is at the Director’s discretion.

10) CE Credit Identification
Where a course is approved for state CE credit, hours and type (e.g., elective, core/mandatory) are displayed on the course page and receipt. If only “Total Hours” are shown, the course is not CE-approved.
11) Prior Credits & Transferability
Credits taken elsewhere do not automatically transfer into our courses, and our credits may not transfer to other institutions unless a written agreement exists. Students are responsible for confirming acceptance with any third party.
12) Student Licensing Data & Certifications
